Erin Lee (she/they) is a student, writer, and aspiring doctor. She attended Duke University (’26) for her B.A. in English and is currently working on completing pre-medical requirements at Meredith College.
Her senior thesis is titled “Losers, Lovers, and Loners: Internet Identities and Parasocial Relationships in Esther Yi’s Y/N and Tony Tulathimutte’s Rejection,” an interrogation of Internet culture, methods of online identity expression, and how the impulse for physical and emotional connection attempts to translate itself through the medium of the screen. It is accessible through this site.
She is currently and chronically writing a fiction novel, a project tentatively titled Ship of Theseus that began development during the undergraduate program Duke Arts Studio. You may find her despairing over chemistry, volunteering at food bank, writing terrible poetry, coding strange and highly experimental video games — or, perhaps, even working on that aforementioned, ever-elusive book.
